The Next Level
Have you heard the voice? It is quiet and subtle. Eventually it gets louder and louder but not in the same way as it began. If we don’t listen it will manifest within our bodies as stuck energy. What is this voice I speak of? Why, it is your very soul, calling you forth unto new levels of being and becoming. It is the soft knowing from within that there is something more, more joy to be had, more freedom of expression to embody, more to let in, a depth of experience we all long for and of course connection. There is so much happening around us constantly that we are missing. We are all navigating this life through our learned and created filters of perception based on what we have already experienced. But what if there was more?
What would it be like to feel the moment so fully that we were wanting for nothing? To let in the beauty of another person sharing about their day and fully hold space and hear their words in a way that they came into us and enriched our sense of aliveness? How would your day end after each moment at work or school or whatever you spend your time doing, you were so present that it was like no other day you’ve lived so far.
The good news is that we can change. We can start to notice and bring awareness to the ideals, preconceived notions and judgements that we view life through. We can get present to the cost, to what we are missing out on by needing to “know how things go” or “figure out the outcome before it arrives”.
All it takes is opening up to the idea that there is more than what we currently experience. Then we can get really clear about what we want. Not so much in the material way but in an experiential way. “I want to experience more joy”, I’d like to experience more ease and flow in my life”, maybe even “I would like to have new and exciting experiences doing familiar tasks”.
I invite you to take a minute, just one minute, to presence a feeling or sense that you desire to have more of or have been longing for.
Take just another moment or two to breathe this feeling or sense into your whole body. Allow yourself to get familiar with what it feels like when your whole being is present to this feeling/sense/experience. Keep breathing it in and just allow it to infiltrate every cell and atom within you.
Now gently bring yourself back to this moment, this writing, this opportunity to expand your sense of access to the new.
It is simple, gentle practices such as this that begin to change how we see and experience life in each moment. The more we allow ourselves to imagine having the experience we desire the more our mind and body attune to and attract scenarios, circumstances and opportunities that align with these experiences.
Upon waking first thing in the morning our minds are the most malleable, the most programmable. If only for a few minutes we attune ourselves to the experience we desire to have today, our minds and bodies will align with, attract and notice opportunities to experience this intended feeling or scenario. To take this to the next level simply speak out loud your intention with confidence and in a way that you know it will be and watch each desired experience come to fruition throughout the day. And if you include a sense of gratitude this is telling your mind and the world around you that you expect it to be and that you know it is already here. This aspect will call it to you even more powerfully and prepare your body and mind to open to the new.
Sometimes when we are taking new actions, practicing new perceptions and ideas in our lives we can come up against resistance within ourselves. These feelings are a signpost pointing to where within our belief system there is contradiction or doublemindedness. We know in our conscious minds that we want to experience the outcome we desire. We may even know that it is possible. On a subconscious level, however, we may have adopted a belief that contradicts our desired experience being safe or possible. This is where hypnosis can help. Through the process of hypnosis we gain direct access to our subconscious beliefs and from there we can rebuild, resolve and create new possibilities for ourselves and our lives that align with who we are today and the lives we are living into.
