I have been contemplating these lyrics for sometime now. Sometimes in meditation, sometimes while the song plays so clearly in my mind. And sometimes I will be listening to someone speak or observe a person that is carrying an energy of heaviness or sadness and this song will just come on like a radio in my head tuned to play it at that moment.
I usually do not share this message but it has become painstakingly clear that so many of us need this reminder in life. Especially during these times of uncertainty and profound change in the world and within ourselves. I think I’ll just start singing it out loud every time it comes to mind and see what happens.
I believe that if we all lived from this truth as we walk through our daily lives the world would be a different place. I also believe that this knowing is within us all, it’s just a matter of remembering that we are Love. That love is all there is. Anything and everything that does not feel like love is there so that we can experience love and return to our true nature in that moment. It is a choice to live from this consciousness and that choice begins with remembering. Remembering that love is always here, wherever we are, whatever we are doing. Each present moment is pregnant with the potential and possibility to experience love. Love for ourselves, Love for others, Love for the earth, Love for our breath and life. There are endless possibilities when it comes to love.
So I invite you to take a moment to feel the presence of this love that surrounds you and is within you. Maybe even close your eyes and begin to envision this love as a warm light within you and around you. It can be any color that feels right to you.
As you begin to get a sense of this loving light shining out from within I invite you to allow it to spread out around you as far as you can imagine. Notice what happens. Do you observe how this love touches and impacts the people around you? What sensations are you having in your own body, in your own energetic space? How does it feel to be filled and surrounded by this warm loving light? Do you notice any changes?
What might shift in your day to day life if you took a moment each morning to presence this gift of love before embarking upon your normal routines? I invite you to give it a try and see what happens? Notice what opens up for you. See how it feels to do your daily tasks filled with and remembering this beautiful truth, that love surrounds you and everything and everyone.
